Baltic advertisement market up 3% in 2015

The advertisement market in the Baltic States grew by 3.1% to 270.9 million euros last year, as compared with 2014, shows an analysis conducted by TNS market and media research companies in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, cites LETA/BNS.

The biggest share of the sum, 101.1 million euros, was generated by the Lithuanian advertisement market, followed by the Estonian advertisement market (EUR 92.6 mln) and the Latvian advertisement market (EUR 77.2 mln).

 

Estonia has been leading the group in terms of advertisement sum per capita for a few consecutive years, with 70.5 euros in advertisement investments per resident, while the sums in Latvia and Lithuania are 38.9 euros and 34.6 euros, respectively.

 

Estonia also leads the three Baltic countries in terms of the share of the gross domestic product (GDP) for media advertisement – the share was 0.45% in Estonia, 0.32% in Latvia and 0.27% in Lithuania.

 

The biggest advertisement income in the Baltic States was generated by television – 104.8 million euros in 2015 or 39.9% of the total Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian advertisement budget. Online advertisement market stood at 47.3 million euros last year (18% of the market), newspaper advertisement totaled at 32.5 million euros (32.5%) and radio advertisement at 26.9 million euros (10.3%).
