Baltika's sales revenue increased by 3% in April y-o-y

The listed Estonian clothing company Baltika's consolidated sales revenue from continued operations in April 2016 totaled 4.1 million euros, marking an increase of 3% from the same month last year, informs LETA/BNS.

Retail sales decreased by 3%, including declines of 1% on the domestic market, 2% in Lithuania and 5% in Latvia. Retail sales totaled 3.3 million euros, the company said in a stock exchange disclosure.

 

Wholesale increased by 35% in annual comparison, reaching 761,000 euros, and online sales grew 11% to 99,000 euros.

 

Sales revenue for the January-April period, at 14.7 million euros, was 4% smaller than the year before. Retail revenue from continued operations decreased 8% to 11.7 million euros, wholesale grew 17% to 1.5 million euros, and e-commerce revenue declined 1% to 351,000 euros.

 

At the end of April, Baltika had 129 stores, including 13 franchise stores in Russia, six in Spain, two in Belarus and 15 in Ukraine. Stores operated by the group itself numbered 93 and the average sales area was 3% bigger than a year ago.
