A new fire station at the Riga International Airport has placed second, and daycare center in Skulte village third.

An apartment building with an underground parking lot on Hospitalu Street in Riga has won the title of the best new apartment building, and a private clinic on Vingrotaju Street in Riga – the best reconstruction project.

Baltinava High School is the best renovation project, and restoration of part of the Daugavpils Castle – the best restoration project.

The jury has also singled out such remarkable projects as the Riga Airport's runway, open-air concert hall in Dikli, Koceni Region, and others.

The competition for the best buildings of the year is organized by the Latvian Builders Association and Latvian Association of Civil Engineers in cooperation with the Economy Ministry, Transport Ministry, Environmental Protection and Regional Development Ministry, Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Latvian Association of Local and Regional Governments, Riga Technical University, newspaper "Dienas Bizness", and other cooperation partners.
