Baltic States largest tourism fair opens in Tallinn

Print versionThe 22nd tourism fair Tourest takes place from Friday to Sunday at the Estonian Fairs centre in Tallinn, with nearly 400 companies and organisations from 25 states represented, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

Estonian Tourism Companies Union secretary general Kristen Lahtein said that Estonians generally plan equal amounts of travels in Estonia and abroad.
In addition to the usual tourism destinations, this year Lartvia is very strongly represented as well as the Balkan states: Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia. South African Republic participates again and Dubai from the United Arab Emirates has been present at all of the fairs.
The fair also has a large section of local tourism as most Estonian counties are represented to help people plan their vacations in Estonia.
