Estonia's budget for participating at the EXPO is 3.76 mln euros, of which 2.2 mln euros is earmarked for planning and building the pavilion and 575,000 euros for compiling and carrying out the programme.

"The Milan and Lombardi regions where the world exhibition takes place, is one of the four biggest economic engines of Europe. The aim of our pavilion is in addition to general and cultural introduction, to bring more tourists to Estonia, give Estonian exporters possibilities of selling more of their goods and services, and spur foreign investors to create high added value jobs in Estonia," said Enterprise Estonia board member Martin Hirvoja. "The idea and architectural solution of the Estonian pavilion should be inspired by the Estonian culture, science, economic achievements and express everything that is unique in Estonia and would attract local residents of Italy and the world's public," he added.

The EXPO takes place from May 1 to October 31, 2015.
