A special conference is organised to debate the role of strategic thinking and possible problem solving in state and business affairs

The international conference “Strategic thinking. Creative. State and business” will take place on the 3rd of March, 2017 in Academic Centre of Natural Science of the University of Latvia and host entrepreneurs, opinion leaders of national institutions and communication experts.

The scheduling and planning of said conference is such, as to provide a wide and diverse view of strategic thinking, show the best ways to utilise these skills in business and national affairs. Some of the themes discussed will involve problem solving from a creative point of view, as well as things the state and business can learn from culture, art and sporting disciplines.


Communication expert and organiser of the conference “Strategic thinking. Creative. State and business” Antra Bork-Ržečicka revealed the following - “With the help of this convention we want to develop a wider thought process, further the field of vision and become braver decision makers. That is why we have created such a fascinating program. During the conference we will talk about ways to develop strategic thinking skills, how to apply them in your business strategies and what to avoid on the national level.”


 

The organizers are especially proud of the high quality and professionalism of the local and international lecturers, who have agreed to participate in the conference. This year one of the lecturers will be former leader of one the biggest Latin street gangs in the US - Antonio Fernandez. These days he is considered one of experts in change management and a social provocateur. Conference will also host Thomas Bothe who is a strategy and leadership coach, Allan Bierre – cyber security strategist, Gundars Berzins who is the dean of Latvian University’s Business, Management and Economics faculty, Thomas Nemura - one of the leading digital marketing experts in the Baltic region as well as Olga Kotova who is the first woman in Baltic states to climb mount Everest, and many others.

 

Everyone is welcome to register for the conference online at www.miitandlinks.com . Applicants before the 12th of February will pay EUR 150+VAT 21%. Applications submitted from the 13th- 18th of February will cost EUR 180+VAT 21%.

 

Each year the theme of the conference changes, that way it may follow the global trends, give a fair overview in problem solving, offer an idea about future tendencies and challenges as well as taking and in-depth look at some specific issues. The main theme for 2016 was ‘critical thinking’, this year the organisers are planning to develop this idea further.
