International conference on “New materials and design possibilities for packaging” will held in Riga

An international conference titled "New materials and design possibilities for packaging" will be held in the Chamber of Commerce in Latvia on 5 September. The conference has been initiated and organized by the Association of Packaging of Latvia and IMMER-Ukrplastic Group, conference`s representative told BC.

How do new technologies in the design and printing of packaging influence the marketing possibilities of manufacturers? How does one ensure sales growth and protect their products against counterfeiting? What are the requirements of EU legislation on sustainability? These and other relevant topics will be addressed by the world’s leading producers: Dow Chemical, Henkel AG & Comp., Rotoflex, IMMER-Ukrplastic Group, HP Inc. 


Experts of the world packaging industry will talk about trends and new packaging solutions for food products, innovative materials, and the creative opportunities in the design and printing of flexible packaging and label. They will discuss the new challenges of the market and technological developments, the implementation of which increases the logistics possibilities of products, improves production efficiency, significantly expands the marketing function of packaging and provides a high level of brand protection against counterfeiting. The conference program includes two panels called "New materials for packaging" and “Possibilities of Design and printing."


The conference will be particularly relevant for dairy and confectionery companies, manufacturers of food, pharmaceutical products and pet food, as well as water and beverage market players that plan expansion of sales to countries of Central and Eastern Europe and Asia. It will be interesting to producers of dairy products and to those in the confectionery industry. Participation has already been confirmed by companies from Germany, Latvia, Ukraine, Switzerland, Spain, and Russia.
