The goal of the Shadow Day is to teach youths to successfully select a future profession, test their abilities and suitability for certain professions. For employers, it is an opportunity for connecting with the younger generation and making a contribution to their education.
A total of 1,044 companies and organizations participate in the Shadow Day this year, offering 7,491 vacancies in all regions of Latvia. 29,140 young people have applied for participating in the Shadow Day activities this year, up from 22,600 last year.
This year, the Shadow Day's focus is on engineering and IT sectors.
