Nearly 1.5 mln people have visited Estonian EXPO pavilion 2015

As of July 31st, a half of the world exhibition EXPO 2015 in Milan is over and a further 92 days lie ahead; during the first three months, the Estonian pavilion was visited by nearly 1.5 million people, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

Within the first three months, the Estonian pavilion has conducted a number of events, and it has been visited by high-level delegations from different countries. Meetings with a number of business delegations, for example, from France, Monaco and Lithuania have taken place. The Estonian pavilion has been visited by ministers of many countries, including Estonia's President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Estonian enterprise and culture ministers.

 

In early June, the Estonian National Day and the Estonian tourism sector seminar for local journalists and tourism industry representatives took place. In early July, a transport and logistics seminar took place. The pavilion has organized entertainment events such as concerts of Estonian orchestras and ensembles and Embassy of Fashion show.

 

In early August, the Estonian rye days take place; the Restoration of Independence day will be celebrated and Estonian barbecue day organised. In September, Estonian handicraft beers festival and kiiking world record attempt will take place. In October, Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas will visit the Estonian pavilion, Robotex events take place as well as an IT conference.

 

Since a half of the EXPO is over, Enterprise Estonia has started looking for a new owner for the pavilion, which can be partly reused and rebuilt on the basis of existing project.

 

The Estonian pavilion will be open until 31 October 2015.
