Estonian budget collects 79% annual revenue in 10 months

According to the Estonian Ministry of Finance, the Estonian state budget collected revenue of 6.31 billion euros in the first ten months of the year 2014, which is 78.7% of the total amount planned in the budget for the year, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

The expenditures reached 6.21 billion euros, 75.9% of the annual plan.

 

The state budget collected in ten months 5.49 billion euros of tax revenue, 82.9% of the annual plan. Non-tax revenue formed 0.84 billion euros, 60.6% of the annual plan.

 

The biggest revenue sources were the social tax revenue of 1.85 billion euros (82.5% of annual plan) and VAT of 1.4 million euros or 83.7% of the annual plan.

 

The government sector budgetary position had a 40 million euros (0.21% of GDP) surplus at the end of September. At the same time last year the deficit was 84.6 million euros or 0.46% of forecast GDP.
