Lithuania collects more income from taxes than planned for January-August

From January to August 2014, the state budget received more income from taxes than it had been projected, totalling LTL 12.294 billion (EUR 3.563 billion), reports LETA/ELTA, referring to the Ministry of Finance.

The state and municipal budget during the mentioned period got LTL 14.911 billion (EUR 4.322 billion) of income or 0.8% (LTL 115 million/EUR 33.3 million) more than it had been planned, a 8.5% raise year-on-year. Previously, it had been projected to receive LTL 14.796 million (EUR 4.288 billion) of income.

 

It was predicted that the state budget from January to August would receive LTL 12.309 billion (EUR 3.567 billion) of income, while the factual amount stood at LTL 12.294 billion (EUR 3.563 billion) or 0.1% less than planned, but 6.1% more on a year-on-year basis.
