Bigbank profit doubled in Q3

Print versionThe profit of the Estonian consumer loans issuer Bigbank grew in the third quarter of this year by over two times to 2.3 million euros, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

Bigbank's manager Kaido Saar said that the company continued to strengthen its market position at foreign markets mainly. "Nearly 80% of Bigbank's business volume is by now outside Estonia and this year, we have managed to increase profitability in the whole bank group," said Saar.
Bigbank's loan portfolio grew by 5.7% to 271 million euros. Interest income grew by 17%.
As of the end of September, Bigbank had 546 employees, 233 of them in Estonia.
Bigbank has branch offices in Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania and Spain and offers its products, as cross border service, in Austria, Germany and Holland.
