At the end of June SIA Cido grupa (Cido group), AS Lacplesa alus(Lacplesa beer), and SIA Livu alus (Livu beer) handed in a notice of reorganization to the Enterprise register, we were informed by Cido grupa representative Inese Lielpinka.

The enterprises have began the consolidation process, which will result in Lacplesa alus and Livu alus joining Cido grupa. The reorganization process is scheduled to end this weekend, informs LETA.

"Taking into account that the Danish company Royal Unibrew is the direct or indirect owner of all three enterprises, the consolidation process is formal, with the goal of alleviating record and book keeping of the enterprises involved. The reorganization process will in no way effect consumers or partners, " explains Cido group's general director Jesper Colding.

Cido grupa was established in 1994, and its owner since 2004 has been the Danish enterprise Royal Unibrew, which also owns 99.8% of Lacplesa alus shares. In turn, Lacplesa alus is the owner of SIA Livu alus.

In 2007, Cido grupa enjoyed a LVL 38 million turnover and a LVL 2.1 million profit.

Royal Unibrew is the leading beer, juice, and nonalcoholic drink supplier in the Baltics, and the second largest beverage producer and largest exporter in Scandinavia.
