Lithuanian Deaf Olympic delegation received a cheque for 1.240.000 litas

On Tuesday, in the Government Palace, Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius presented the Lithuanian delegation of the deaf that will participate in the XXI summer Deaf Olympics with a cheque for 1.240.00 litas (359.134 euros).

In September this year, during the Deaf Olympics in Taiwan, Lithuanian athletes won 13 medals (2 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze).

 

Klaipeda sports dance ensemble Zuvedra was granted 70,000 litas (20,273 euros) for the victory in the European Championship that took place in Vilnius.

 

Department of Physical Education and Sports (KKSD) granted the athletes and the coaches with medals "for sports victories".
