Estonian budget revenues totaled 76.7 billion kroons by the end of November 2009, which made up 90.2% of the target for the full year, BBN/LETA reported, referring to Estonia's Finance Ministry's data.

Expenditures of the Estonian state totaled 78 billion kroons, making up 85.4% of the expenses expected for the year.

The government sector shortfall will probably not exceed three% of the gross domestic product (GDP), the Ministry of Finance expects.

External aid excluded, the state budget has boasted a cash-based surplus in the last five months and the government sector showed in October an accrual-based surplus for the second consecutive month. These two trends are likely to continue till the end of the year which bodes well for fulfilment of the Maastricht budget deficit criterion.

In November 9.4 billion kroons flowed into the state budget of which 5.5 billion kroons was tax revenue and 3.8 billion kroons non-tax revenue.
