Rietumu Banka's January-September profit at EUR 21.382 mln

Rietumu Banka posted EUR 21.382 million in profit in January-September this year, down 3.7 times from the same period last year, the bank reports, cites LETA.

Rietumu Banka's assets stood at EUR 2.977 billion - 14.1% or EUR 488.429 million less than at the end of 2016.

 

Deposits at Rietumu Banka amounted to EUR 2.286 billion by the end of September. This is 17.4% less than in December 2016, while the bank's loan portfolio decreased 6.8% to EUR 1.141 billion.

 

Meanwhile, the bank's capital and reserves stood at EUR 476.191 million as of September 30, 1% up from end-2016.


Rietumu Banka's liquidity ratio was 77.22% at the end of September (compared to the Financial and Capital Market's minimum requirement of 60% for the bank), and capital adequacy ratio was 23.22% (Financial and Capital Market's minimum requirement is 11.6%).

 

In the first nine months last year, Rietumu Banka operated with a profit of EUR 78.89 million.

 

In terms of assets, Rietumu Banka was the fifth largest bank in Latvia this past June. The bank's main shareholders are Esterkin Family Investments (33.12%), Maltese company Boswell (International) Consulting Limited (33.11%), and Suharenko Family Investments (17.34%).
