Lithuania's budget revenue EUR 154 mln above target in 7 months

Lithuania's central government and local authorities collected a total of 4.74 billion euros in budget revenue in January through July 2017, some 153.8 million euros, or 3.4%, more than planned, reports LETA/BNS.

The central government's budget revenue for the seven months came in at 3.801 billion euros, some 63.4 million euros, or 1.7%, above the projected level.

 

The value-added tax remained the largest single source of budget revenue, bringing 1.999 billion euros into the state's coffers, some 38.2 million euros, or 2%, more than planned.

 

Excise tax revenue totaled 754.8 million euros, in line with the estimate. Revenue from the corporate income tax, at 385.7 million euros, fell 28.7 million euros, or 6.9%, short of the target.

 

The personal income tax generated a total of 930.4 million euros in central government and municipal budget revenue, some 65 million euros, or 7.5%, more than planned.

 

This year's central government budget projects 6.386 billion euros in annual revenue not including EU funds and 8.487 billion euros including EU funds.
