Oil product retailers top list of largest tax payers in Latvia in 2016

Print versionThree oil product retailers - Circle K Latvia (formerly Statoil Fuel & Retail Latvia), Neste Latvija and Orlen Latvija - last year paid the largest amount of taxes into the Latvian budget, according to the information from the Latvian State Revenue Service writes LETA.

Circle K Latvia paid EUR 182.45 mln in taxes into the state budget in 2016, Neste Latvija contributed EUR 120.24 mln taxes and tax payments by Orlen Latvija added up to EUR 118.4 mln.
Further down the list is Latvijas Gaze natural gas utility with EUR 110.92 mln paid in taxes in 2016, Philip Morris Latvia tobacco company with EUR 100.92 mln, the state-owned electricity utility Latvenergo with EUR 85.62 mln, Baltic Sales Network with EUR 81.27 mln, the state owned railway company Latvijas Dzelzcels with EUR 66.61 mln, the state-owned forest manager Latvijas Valsts Mezi with EUR 63.53 mln and East-West Transit with EUR 54.69 mln.
