Rietumu banka makes EUR 56.3 mln profit in 9 months

During the first three quarters of 2015, Rietumu banka raised its profit 46% year-on-year to EUR 56.33 million from EUR 38.7 million earned in the same period a year ago, according to the bank's unaudited financial report for the first nine months of 2015, informs LETA.

The bank, however, paid EUR 18.38 million in extraordinary dividend in the respective period last year. Before that payment its nine-month profit was EUR 57.096 million.

 

During the first three quarter of 2015 Rietumu banka generated EUR 72.06 million in interest revenue and EUR 50.99 million in commissions.

 

Administrative costs totaled EUR 33.23 million.

 

The bank's assets stood at EUR 3.637 million at the end of September 2015.

 

Return on equity (ROE) was 20.85% and return on assets (ROA) 2.06%.

 

The bank's liquidity ratio was 78.39% at the end of the third quarter as compared to the 60% minimum requirement set by the Financial and Capital Market Commission.

 

The capital adequacy ratio was 18.15% as compared to the minimum requirement of 15.8%.

 

Rietumu banka’s shareholders include Boswell (International) Consulting Limited (33.11%), Esterkin Family Investments (33.12%), and Suharenko Familiy Investments (17.34%), among others.

 

According to Firmas.lv data, Leonids Esterkins is the sole owner of Esterkin Family Investments and Suharenko Familiy Investments belongs to Arkadijs Suharenko.
