Estonian state budget collects 22.6% annual revenue in 3 months

According to the Ministry of Finance, the Estonian state budget collected revenue of 1.91 billion euros in the first three months of the year 2015; this is 22.6% of the total amount planned in the budget, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

As compared to a year ago, the revenue was up 2.9%, mainly due to increased tax collection.


The state budget collected 1.63 billion euros of tax revenue, by 5.9% more than at the same time last year, mainly thanks to bigger social tax and VAT collection.

 

The biggest revenue sources were the social tax revenue of 582.8 million euro and VAT of 441.1 million euros and excise taxes of 210.8 mln euros.

 

Non-tax revenue formed 274.3 million euros, 12% less than at the same time last year.

 

The expenditures reached 2.01 billion euros, 23.2% of the annual plan. Expenditures grew by 118.9 million euros in a year.

 

The 2015 budget revenue volume uis 8.45 bln euros and expenditures 8.67 bln euros.

 

By the end of February, the government sector budget deficit was 0.58% of GDP or 118.8 mln euros.
