Estonian budget collects 15.7% revenue in 2 months

According to the Ministry of Finance, the Estonian state budget collected revenue of 1.33 billion euros in the first two months of the year 2015; this is 15.7% of the total amount planned in the budget, informs LETA.

As compared to a year ago, the revenue was unchanged from last year but European Union new period support volume has not yet reached last year's level.

 

The expenditures reached 1.34 billion euros, 15.4% of the annual plan. Expenditures grew by 6.4% in a year.

 

The state budget collected in January and February 1.1 billion euros of tax revenue, 15.9% of the annual plan. Non-tax revenue formed 218.6 million euros, 14.8 of the annual plan.

 

The biggest revenue sources were the social tax revenue of 309.7 million euro and VAT of 309.7 million euros and excise taxes of 155.5 mln euros.

 

State budget spending in two months amounted to 1.34 billion euros. The biggest spending articles were main social welfare benefits amounting to a total of 746.3 million euros.

 

By the end of January, the government sector budget deficit was 0.03% of GDP or 6 mln euros.
