Estonian state budget collects 8.7% revenue in January

According to the Ministry of Finance, the Estonian state budget collected revenue of 701.7 million euros in January 2015, reports LETA.

This is 8.7% of the total amount planned in the budget.

 

As compared to a year ago, income grew by 1.4%. 93.6% of the total income was tax income and tax revenue grew in most categories.

 

The expenditures reached 659.5 million euros, 7.6% of the annual plan. Expenditures grew by 0.6% in a year.

 

The state budget collected in January 656.9 million euros of tax revenue, 9.9% of the annual plan. Non-tax revenue formed 44.8 million euros, 3% of the annual plan.

 

The biggest revenue sources were the social tax revenue of 209 million euro and VAT of 176.6 million euros and excise taxes of 100.1 mln euros.

 

State budget spending in January amounted to 659.5 million euros. The biggest spending articles were main social welfare benefits amounting to a total of 340.7 million euros.

 

By the end of December, the government sector budget surplus was 0.38% of GDP or 73 mln euros.
