Lietuvos Energija increases its statutory capital

The statutory capital of Lithuanian company Lietuvos Energija will be increased from LTL 4.067 billion (EUR 1.16 billion) to LTL 4.180 billion (EUR 1.19 billion), informs LETA/ELTA.

The statutory capital of the company will be increased by LTL 112.7 million (EUR 32 million).

 

The newly released shares will be acquired by the Ministry of Finance representing the state. The Ministry of Finance will pay for the shares by the non-monetary contribution – the state-owned shares of the company Lietuvos Dujos. 17.7% of the shares of the Lietuvos Dujos needed for the contract was transferred to the Ministry of Finance last week.

 

According to Lithuania's Minister of Finance, in this way the European Union's Third Energy Package and Lithuanian gas law requirements to separate the natural gas transmission, the production and the supply activities were fulfilled.
