Electricity price at NPS Estonian region fell in April

Print versionThe average price of electricity at the Nordic electricity bourse Nord Pool Spot (NPS) grew in April 2013 while in the NPS Estonian price region it fell, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

In NPS as a whole, the system price of electricity grew by 2.4% to an average of 45.91 EUR per MWh in April.
Estonian main grid company Elering said that the Estonian electricity bourse price fell by 4.4% to 43.31 EUR per MWh.
In addition to Estonia, the bourse price fell in NPS ELE, Lithuanian and Finnish price regions but the price of electricity was somewhat higher in all three than in Estonia.
The price of natural gas imported to Estonia fell in April by nearly 2% and was 32.93 EUR per MWh, Elering estimated.
