The number of the company’s clients and electricity sales volume grew the most in Latvia, as the number of corporate clients grew more than three and a half times in a year, to nearly 840.
“We present a fierce competition in Latvia to the local electricity monopoly Latvenergo; more and more clients turn to us in order to get alternative offers; We have concluded in Latvia our longest valid electricity sales contract: it will expire in 2017,” said the director of electricity sales at Eesti Energia Karla Agan.
As the Latvian open electricity market that currently has 6,000 clients will grow to 26,000 clients, Eesti Energia is also seeing an opportunity to significantly grow its sales volumes in Latvia.
In Lithuania, Eesti Energia has doubled its number of corporate clients, to nearly 270. Agan stated that the Lithuanian electricity market has the fiercest competition among all the Baltic States. There are nearly 30 companies that actively sell electricity in Lithuania.
