Electricity imported from Russia to move via Baltic electricity bourse

Print versionEstonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications reported that the cheaper electricity bought from Russia would be moved via the Baltic electricity exchange, writes LETA/National Broadcasting.

According to the ministry, the Baltic States have reached a consensus on the matter and the necessary documents ought to be compiled in the beginning of the next year.
Estonia is hoping for a prompt launching of the Baltic electricity bourse. Among others, the objective is to maintain control over importing electricity from third countries.
