Kauno Energija signs letter of intent on Kaunas FEZ energy supply development

Print versionThe Management Company of Kaunas Free Economic Zone, Kauno Energija and COWI Lietuva on 29 July 2010 have signed a letter of intent regarding possible development of heating, cooling, electricity supply and of infrastructure development projects in Kaunas Free Economic Zone and in Kaunas city, Kauno Energija reports to NASDAQ OMX Vilnius.

It was agreed under this Letter of Intent to analyze the possibilities of providing the consumers based at Kaunas FEZ with heat, cooling and electricity, produced out of renewable energy sources, o collectively seek for financial support for the project implementation, attracting the funds of Kauno energija, the EU and Lithuanian budget subsidies to finance the renewable energy sector, to elaborate a conceptual solution for energy supply and project financing, to implement the project provided the technical and financial concept acceptable is found, informs LETA/ELTA.
Agreements embodied in this letter of intent are expected to launch in autumn 2010.
