"3-5 billion euros is the total value of the project, while the amounts of separate investments of investors, the strategic investor, regional partners, also Lithuania, will be clear after negotiations," Energy Minister Arvydas Sekmokas said after a Cabinet meeting on Monday.
According to the energy minister, the Government's position is that the strategic investor should allocate more than a half of the sum by accepting the project's risk and acquiring the rights to the major part of this project.
Sekmokas states that other partners – Latvia, Estonia, and Poland – view conditions favorably. "Latvians, Estonians, Poles view this favorably and want to see the progress as soon as possible," the minister said.
On Monday, the Government decided to invite companies to tender for the strategic investor and approved the initial general provisions.
