The decline in electricity sales on the domestic market was softened by an outdoor temperature that in April was by 1.1 degrees lower than last year. The weather conditions notwithstanding, Eesti Energia’s energy sales in Estonia fell by nearly 10%. The decline is caused by the overall economic depression and a decrease in the production volumes.
Eesti Energia sold a total of 110 GWh of heating energy in April – by 43 GWh less than a year ago. During the past few months the sales of heating energy has been adversely affected by a new producer of heating energy which is not owned by Eesti Energia entering on the Tallinn market.
