French-owned Lithuanian heat supplier Litesko trebles FY net profit to EUR 5.7 mln

Litesko, a Lithuanian district heating supplier that is controlled by France's Veolia, last year posted a net profit of 5.74 mln euros, more than a three-fold increase from 1.697 mln euros in 2015, writes LETA.

Revenue fell by 4.9% to 46.914 mln euros, the company said in its 2016 annual report filed with the Center of Registers.


According to the report, Litesko in 2016 paid out almost 1.1 mln euros as dividends to its shareholders, down from 1.5 mln euros in 2015, and had 13.4 mln euros in retained earnings at the end of last year.


Litesko in late 2016 operated the district heating systems of the towns of Alytus, Marijampole, Druskininkai, Birzai, Kazlu Ruda, Telsiai, Vilkaviskis and Kelme.


Veolia holds a 99.96% of shares in Litesko, with the remaining shares owned by Lag&d, the owner of the Icor Group.
