Eesti Gaas sells 3.3% more natgas in August

Print versionThe Estonian natural gas seller Eesti Gaas sold 15.6 mln cubic meters of natural gas in August, 0.5 mln cubic meters or 3.3 % more than in the same month in 2015, reports LETA/BNS.

The amount sold in the first eight months of the year grew
from 258.6 mln cubic meters in 2015 to 309.6 mln cubic meters this year,
marking an increase by 51 mln cubic meters or 19.7%, Kersti Tumm, head of communications and marketing at Eesti Gaas, said.
As a trend characteristic of the period, Tumm named a
continued increase in the use of compressed gas in transportation, which in the
first eight months of the year reached 2.9 mln cubic meters, compared with 2.1 mln
cubic meters in the first eight months of 2015.
More than 98% of the shares in Eesti Gaas belong to Trilini
Energy, a company majority owned by Infortar.
