Eesti Energia's market share fell to 60.1% at end-June

The market share of Estonian state-owned energy giant Eesti Energia in electricity sale was 61.6% at the end of June, by a 1.3% smaller than a month earlier, reported LETA, referring to Elering.

Baltic Energy Services OÜ share of the electricity sales brokering was 11.8% (11.3% in May).


Latvian energy company Latvenergo, which in Estonia is called Elektrum, was on the third place, with a stable market share of 10.7% (10.6% in May).

 

The top three were followed by Nordic Power Management OÜ with 5.8% (5.6%), Alexela Energia AS with 3.9% (4.1%) and Inter Rao Eesti OÜ with 2.1% (2.0%).

 

577,000 consumers bought electricity on the basis of contracts, a growth of 600 in a month. 136,000 consumption venues used the general service, a fall of 30 in a month. Consumers without a contract formed 19% of all consumption venues in June but electricity consumed by them formed just nearly 6% of all consumed electricity.
