The book opening event is scheduled for September 19, 2014 at the new building of the National Library of Latvia in Riga.

Stories, featuring cooperation results through the eyes of the people from Estonia and Latvia, discuss what has been achieved during projects funded by Estonia-Latvia Programme from 2007 until 2013. The cooperation initiatives are very different – they vary from small cross-border road and harbor reconstruction to joint environmental, cultural and technological projects, all of them involving at least one partner from Estonia, and one partner from Latvia. The book also contains visual graphics and tables with financial information, explaining how the projects were co-funded from the European Regional Development Fund, Estonian and Latvian partners.

The book is written by Anu Jõesaar, Tiia Kõnnusaar, Made Laas, Anna-Liisa Reppo (Estonia) and Ieva Alberte, Kaspars Ģērmanis, Ģirts Kondrāts, Elita Marga (Latvia), with a foreword by Peeter Unt (Estonia-Latvia Programme). Photographers: Jassu Hertsmann, Lauri Kulpsoo, Betti Säre (Estonia) and Andris Arhomkin, Jānis Buls, Kaspars Dobrovoļskis (Latvia), editors: Tiia Kõnnusaar (Estonia) and Lolita Stašāne (Latvia), concept for the book and oversight: Kaspars Rūklis (Estonia-Latvia Programme).

“Estonia-Latvia Stories” will be available in national and public libraries of Estonia and Latvia. Personal copies of this free of charge publication can be obtained by attending Estonia-Latvia Programme organized events.
