"The relations of Russia and Estonia are not in the best state at present," Ambassador Alexander Petrov said at a press conference held Monday. Petrov added that the same concerns other EU and NATO member states.

According to the ambassador, relations have been damaged by the baseless accusations by Western states against Russia regarding which no adequate proof has been provided.

Petrov brought as examples the poisoning of the Skripals in the United Kingdom, the accusations regarding Russian interference in the political process of the United States, the conflict in the Kerch Strait where Russian military vessels attacked and took over three Ukrainian military vessels, and, as the newest topic, claims regarding Russia's participation in the so-called yellow vests protest movement in France.
