Lithuania's state-run oil product and liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals operator Klaipedos Nafta (Klaipeda Oil) saw its revenue for January-September fall by 24.2% y-o-y to 58.5 mln euros, writes LETA/BNS.

Monthly revenue for September decreased by 23.8% from a year earlier to 6.4 mln euros, according to the preliminary results released on Wednesday.

“The main factor, which influenced the total company‘s revenue result in January-September, 2020, was lower revenue of Klaipeda LNG terminal, following from the Klaipedos Nafta’s decisions, adopted in 2019, to optimize the costs of Klaipeda LNG terminal and reduce the cost of LNG terminal infrastructure for consumers, starting from 2020,” the company said.

Revenue from oil handling operations edged down by 0.4% y-o-y to 23.8 mln euros, and the LNG terminal's revenue plunged by 38.5 % to 32.7 mln euros in January through September.

The state owns 72.34% of shares in Klaipedos Nafta, which is quoted on the blue-chip Main List of the Nasdaq Vilnius Stock Exchange, and Achemos Grupe holds a 10.41% stake.
