TAV opened its office at Riga Airport and fully renovated duty-free store
Leading airport operator TAV Airports Holding officially has opened its representation office TAV Latvia at Riga Airport and its subsidiary company, ATÜ, has opened the first fully renovated duty-free store. Riga Airport and its passengers officially welcomed TAV Airports during a ceremony attended by TAV Airports Business Development Director Serkan Kaptan, TAV Airports Holding Chairman Hamdi Akin, TAV Latvia Country Coordinator Güçlü Batkın and Ministry of Transport State Secretary Anrijs Matiss.

Number of airBaltic passengers in January-April grew by 7%
Latvian national airline airBaltic carried 297,591 passengers in April 2011 (from Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn), representing 41% increase comparing with the same month in 2010, when airBaltic transported 211,503 passengers. During the four months of 2011, airBaltic transported a total of 896,669 passengers, or 7% more than during the same period in 2010, when the total number of passengers was 835,694.
