Nord Stream AG is pleased to welcome GDF SUEZ S.A. as the consortium’s fifth shareholder with a 9% holding following its acquisition of 4.5% each from founder members E.ON Ruhrgas and BASF Wintershall. The two German energy companies now each have a 15.5% holding. The consortium’s other shareholders are Russia’s OAO Gazprom with 51% and the Dutch gas infrastructure company N.V. Lithuanian and Ukrainian Foreign Ministries agreed to cooperate in achieving the priorities of Ukraine’s integration to the European Union, reported BC press service of Lithuanian Foreign Ministry. This was decided on 17 June in Vilnius at the first meeting of the joint Council of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania. The meeting was chaired by Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko.
