Swedbank sold its car rental business in the Baltic States

Swedbank Autopargi Juhtimise sold its car rental SIXT franchise division to the Latvian enterprise SIA Transporent. The transaction involved the entire Baltic network of SIXT.
Acting director of Swedbank corporate banking division Karin Lamp stated that SIXT franchise was sold along with the rights and obligations. From June 22, the SIXT car rental services are provided in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania by SIA Transporent and its Estonian and Lithuanian subsidiaries.
"The bank sold the short-term car rental business due to its desire to focus on its core operations," explained Lamp.
