European Commission gives green light for Latvian sprats
After January 1, 2014, the maximum benzopyrene level in smoked sprats will remain at the current level, whereas for all other smoked fish products the maximum benzopyrene level will be reduced more than twofold, according to a draft bill approved by the European Commission's expert task force on environment and industrial contamination in foodstuffs.
Volumes of Snoras leasing services double in 2010
In 2010, the volumes of the bank Snoras, participating in the financial leasing market with its services Pirk Issimoketinai (agreement on hire-purchase) and Grynieji (in cash), have grown twice compared with 2009 and stood at 169 million litas (49 million euros). This tool of financial leasing was most often employed for purchasing domestic appliances and computer equipment, TV sets, furniture, security systems, communication means, also for paying bills of medical services, travels and driving courses.

Viisnurk audited revenue totals 13.9 mln euros in 2009
Estonian timber products and furniture company Viisnurk earned consolidated audited revenue in amount of 217.9 million kroons, or 13.9 million euros, in comparison with 205.8 million kroons, or 13.2 million euros earned in 2009, Viisnurk reports to NASDAQ OMX Vilnius.
