Ekspress Grupp boosts sales by 11.8% in March

Estonian publishing and media group Ekspress Grupp saw its sales in March 2011 increase by 11.8% compared to the same period previous year.

For the first time, the sales in March included 100% shareholding in Eesti Päevalehe AS (formerly 50%). Therefore, at the former 50 % shareholding, the normalised sales growth of Eesti Päevaleht at group level was 6.8%, writes LETA.

 

The online media segment increased by 10.5%. Delfi Estonia was the largest contributor to the growth, increasing its sales by nearly 30%.

 

The periodicals segment grew by 9.5% (decreased 4% if normalised by the change in shareholding in Eesti Päevalehe AS). Except for the publisher of Eesti Ekspress and Maaleht, the sales of all the periodicals remained below the previous year's result. The advertising sales of Eesti Päevaleht increased by 14% compared to the same period last year.

 

The printing services segment grew by 15.1%.
