Estonia's Greencarrier is to acquire Finnish-Baltic road transport company

According to the company, this acquisition is in line with Greencarrier Freight Services' strategy to move towards growth in the domestic market, that is around the Baltic Sea, and to strengthen the company's position in Finland, the Baltic countries and Central and Eastern Europe.
With this transaction, Transpoint International's road transport business in the Baltics and Central and Eastern Europe will be fully owned by Greencarrier Freight Services. Approximately 40 people working in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania will work under a new employer.
VR Transpoint International's road transport is handled by Finnish Transpoint International and the transaction does not concern the Finnish parent company belonging to the VR Group or the two Russian subsidiaries owned by Transpoint International Oy.
Greencarrier Freight Services Estonia belongs to the Greencarrier Group.
