Rigas Satiksme public transport company to receive EUR 900,000

The Riga city temporary administration has allocated Rigas Satiksme municipal public transport company more than EUR 900,000 as a compensation for the Covid-19 crisis, informed LETA.

The money will be allocated from contingency funds.
The decision provides for allocation of an extra subsidy
worth EUR 906,705. The money is needed to compensate for losses caused by the
restrictive measures introduced in public transport in relation to the Covid-19
pandemic in May.
As reported, the Riga temporary administration already
earlier allocated EUR 2.29 million in compensations for Covid-19 restrictions.
