At present the World Health Organization (WHO) and the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) have not yet set any travel restrictions. There are no restrictions on shipments or trade, either. Araja said that Latvia follows recommendations issued by both organizations.
SPKC is following information on the spread of the virus.
According to the latest WHO information, so far 2,014 cases of the new coronavirus have been registered, including 1,985 in China. Among European countries, only France has reported one case.
In almost all cases, patients contracted the virus after visiting Wuhan city in China.
