Bankruptcy of Snoras gets recognised in Switzerland

Neil Cooper, Bankruptcy Administrator of BAB Bankas Snoras (in Bankruptcy) has confirmed that on 19 July 2012, the bankruptcy of the bank was recognised in Switzerland by FINMA, the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority, the bank said in a statement.

Neil Cooper, Bankruptcy Administrator of Snoras bank (in bankruptcy) has confirmed that as of 31 July 2012 over LTL 1.1 billion (EUR 0.3 billlion) cash has been recovered and realised for the benefit of creditors, the bank said.

Lithuania will represent Denmark when issuing Schengen visas in Yerevan

On August 15, the agreement on the reciprocal representation for the issue of Schengen visas between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania and the Kingdom of Denmark will enter into force, under which Lithuania will represent Denmark in Yerevan, the capital of the Republic of Armenia.

Municipal waste management in EU strives for urgent solution

European Commission published a new report (Brussels, 7 August 2012) on how the member states manage their municipal waste. It shows startling differences across the EU. The report grades the EU-27 states against 18 criteria, using green, orange and red flags in areas such as total waste recycled, pricing of waste disposal, and infringements of European legislation.
