Lithuania adds another 2 Balkan states to list of coronavirus-hit countries

Amid a rise in new COVID-19 cases throughout the Balkans in recent weeks, Lithuania has added another two states in the region, Montenegro and Serbia, to its list of countries arrivals from which are required to self-isolate., informs LETA/BNS.

North Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina remain on the Lithuanian Health Ministry's updated list of the most affected countries.
The list took effect on Monday.
A country is considered affected if its COVID-19 infection count exceeds 25 new cases per 100,000 people over the past 14 days.
Bulgaria and Romania are very close to the threshold, and Croatia is fast approaching it.
Greece and Slovenia have the best situation among the region's countries in terms of the spread of the virus and the overall number of confirmed cases.
Lithuanian citizens can travel to Lithuania from anywhere in the world, but those arriving from the countries on the list are required to self-isolate for 14 days.
