By Thursday afternoon, the Revenue Service had granted tax deferrals worth EUR 22,827,464.
To apply for tax rescheduling or deferral for a period of up to three years, companies must fill a special form available in the Revenue Service's Electronic Declaration System (EDS). The application form has to be filed no later than two months after the deadline for the tax payment or March 22, 2020, which is the day the special crisis regulation came into effect.
The State Revenue Service processes the applications in accordance with the Law on Taxes and Duties.
The Revenue Service offers three support measures to crisis-stricken companies - tax deferrals, speedier VAT reimbursement and downtime compensations.
