Estonian singer Ott Lepland achieved the 6th place at the Eurovision song contest on Saturday in Azerbaijan's capital Baku with his song "Kuula" ("Hear me").

"I believe we did well. I am very happy that we achieved this place," said Lepland, who was also the author of the song, as reported by Postimees. The words of the Estonian-language song were written by Aapo Ilves.

Lepland said that Estonia took the maximum from the contest – only states that had aimed to win were higher. He said that he was not aiming at any specific place since the song was not written for the particular contest and the decision to participate was spontaneous.

Estonia received 120 points and the 6th place. The winner was Swedish signer Loreen with "Euphoria" and 372 points.
