The ski slopes have opened in Lithuania in the snowy weather, the Vilnius Tourism Information Center reports.

All mountain, cross-country, ski and snowboard enthusiasts are welcome at the Liepkalnis ski slopes (Minskas rd. 2). The ski slopes are open on Mondays 16.00 – 20.00, Tuesdays till Thursdays 15.00 – 21.00, on Fridays 14.00 – 21.00, on Saturdays 10.00 – 21.00 and Sundays 10.00 – 20.00, writes LETA/LETA.

Slopes and cross-country ski trails, three ski lifts and skiing equipment rental services are functioning. Skating enthusiasts will enjoy The Vilnius Akropolis and Ice Arenas. For those who just want to enjoy winter, snow and frost, Lithuania offers riding horse-drawn sleigh rides at the VU Botanical Gardens. Dog sledding is located 40 kilometers from Vilnius.

Lithuania offers several perfect places to ski: Lithuania Winter Sport Center in Ignalina is located 110 kilometers from Vilnius. Kalita Mountain in Anyksciai is located 110 kilometers from Vilnius. Druskininkai Snow Arena is located 130 kilometers from Vilnius.
