The Board of the Bank of Lithuania announced that it gave permission for the reorganization of the Lithuanian commercial bank Sampo Bankas by merging it with the Danish bank Danske Bank and by transferring all rights and obligations of Sampo Bankas to the branch of Danske Bank established in Lithuania.

The bank Danske Bank is the sole shareholder of Sampo Bankas. The terms of the reorganization of Sampo Bankas and Danske Bank were announced publicly on December 19 last year. From that day, Sampo Bankas acquired the status of a reorganized joint stock company.

According to the documents submitted, the assets of Sampo Bankas will be transferred to the Lithuanian branch of Danske Bank. This branch will continue its operations at the same premises where Sampo Bankas operates at present.
