Aisha’s “What For?" wins "Eurovision" national final in Latvia

Print versionAt the "Eurovision" Song Contest national final in Ventspils last night, a combined jury/audience vote selected "What For?" as sung by Aisha, as the best. It will compete in "Eurovision 2010" in Oslo, Norway, May 25, in the first semi-final.
Th winning song is composed by Janis Lusens, with lyrics by Guntars Racs, informs LETA.
10 songs competed in the national final, and coming in right behind Aisha were Don's sung "My Religion Is Freedom" (Zigmars Liepins and Janis Liepins, composers, Nikita Ivanovs and Zigmars Liepins, lyricists) and the Ivo Grisins-Grislis' sung "Because I Love You" (music and lyrics by Ingars Vilums).
